For 5 years running COS has participated in Milan Design Week, collaborating with architects to translate their latest collection into a unique event. This year COS has teamed up with Japanese Architect Sou Fujimoto to create ‘The Forest of Light’ – an installation that solely utilises light to explore the relationship between light and shadow, resulting in a immersive spatial experience.
Set inside a former 1930’s theatre, cones of light shine down to illuminate the space, and shifts in response to the interaction of visitors. To heighten the experience, a thin veil of fog and walls of mirrors are added to create a sense of depth and illusion.
Drawing inspiration from COS’s latest S/S 16 collection, Fujimoto has transformed a blank space into a moving piece that reflects the iconic brands minimalist style. Creating a ‘synergy between fashion space and architecture' Sou Fujimoto
