Nissan and Foster + Partners envision future cities at the Geneva motor show 2016. These futuristic cities with abundance of clean energy would be powered by electric cars, acting as fuel stations. Electric vehicle zero-emission technology, autonomous drive technology, networked systems, sustainability, clean energy snd urbanisation are integrated together to showcase Nissan's vision of 'intelligent mobility'.
Autonomous electric vehicles would network wirelessly with each other on smart roads with electric grids to gather power generating by renewable sources. The excess energy stored in the car's battery could be further used to power homes, offices and entire cities with clean energy.
According to Paul Willcox, Chairman, Nissan Europe: "we believe that the future of transportation is reliant on both infrastructure and the environment. We’re looking for real, workable solutions that go beyond the product"
