Designer Brook Sigal has crafted a collection of ceramic ware that questions our relationship with unsustainable, mass-produced bottled water.
Exhibited during Milan Design Week at Ventura Lambrate, the designer invites the public to engage in debate and reveal insight to natural minerals and plants that not only add flavor to the water but provide essential health benefits.
The project came about in response to how commonplace filtered water is in the 21st century and how restaurants are attempting to recreate natural water with the addition of cucumber slices or rosemary branches. Recognizing how unsustainable bottled water is Sigal sets about designing an organic biofilter. Proposing that we embrace natural technologies to not only reconnect with nature but find a more viable solution to an ever progressive unsustainable way of life.
