The Nissan BladeGlider is a working sports car protype featuring concepts such as advanced EV performance and intelligent mobility. A rear wheel drive powered by a 220kW lithium-ionbattery the BladeGlider can reach maximum speeds above 190km/h and 0-100km/h acceleration in less than five seconds. The powertrain was developed in collaboration with UK-based Williams Advanced Engineering.
Unveiled at the Rio 2016 Olympics, the BladeGlider has been designed in two sporty colour variations: the Cyber Green and Stealth Orange.
“These prototypes epitomize Nissan’s drive to expand its Intelligent Mobility philosophy, where driving pleasure combines with environmental responsibility,” said Carlos Ghosn, Nissan’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
“Nissan believes that enthusiasts should look forward to a zero emission future and BladeGlider is a perfect demonstration of that. It’s the electric vehicle for car-lovers.”
