Craft in the Anthropocene by Yesenia Thibault-Picazo

The Anthropocene a term coined by scientist Paul Crutzen describes the geological age in which human actions are impacting Earth. Material Teller Yesenia Thibault-Picazo's graduation project proposes a collection of materials, (Cumbrian bone marble, Pacific plastic crust and aluminium nuggets) that will be present in the earth's sediment thousand of years from now, as the new raw materials used by craftsmen in the future.

Yesenia proposes speculative scenarios to stimulate debate around the potential ramifications of our impact on our natural environment and how industy and infrastructure is transforming our future landscapes.
